How does the Montessori method differ from traditional preschool education?

Montessori education focuses on hands-on, child-centered learning. Children choose activities based on their interests and developmental readiness while teachers provide individualized guidance and support. Montessori classrooms are multi-age, allowing younger students to learn from older peers while older students build confidence and leadership skills.

What enrichment opportunities are offered at Meadow Montessori?

Students participate in enrichment experiences such as Spanish, music, physical education, cooking projects, gardening, and early library skills. Optional extracurricular programs, including gymnastics, martial arts, soccer, and dance classes, are offered through outside vendors.

Do you offer a summer program?

Yes. Our summer program includes weekly themed activities that combine learning and fun. Children participate in hands-on projects, special events, outdoor activities, and water play while maintaining consistent routines and friendships.

What are your student-to-teacher ratios?

We maintain low student-to-teacher ratios that meet or exceed state guidelines. Smaller group sizes allow teachers to provide individualized attention and support each child’s learning pace and development.

Are your teachers Montessori certified?

Yes. Our lead teachers hold Montessori certification and receive ongoing professional development in Montessori philosophy, early childhood education, and child development. Meadow Montessori is also working toward school accreditation to further support high educational standards.

Does my child need to be toilet trained?

Toilet learning expectations vary by classroom. Infant and Toddler classrooms support diapering and toilet learning as part of development. Early Childhood students are expected to use the restroom independently with minimal assistance.

For children who need additional time developing restroom independence, our Pre-Early Childhood classroom provides supportive guidance while helping children build confidence and independence.

We prioritize student privacy and do not offer live classroom streaming. Parents are welcome to schedule observation opportunities and may view classroom activity through our observation TV located near the office. Families also receive classroom updates and photos through our communication app.

How do I begin the enrollment process?

Enrollment begins by scheduling a school tour. During your visit, you will learn about our programs, observe classrooms, and receive enrollment information. After the tour, families submit an application and schedule a classroom visit to support a smooth transition for each child.
